Origins of Hinduism

Hinduism is believed to have originated in the Indus/Sarisvati Civilization. Scientists and excavators have discovered altars and other things used to worship the gods burried in the ruins of cities. Also, textual idems like the Vedas have been discovered. Even genes of Indus/Sarisvati people have been found in anchient sacred Hindu places. Finally, carbon dating dates important religious artifacts all the way back to the Indus river valley, and the Sarisvati people.

Ideals

Hindus worship a multitude of gods, including Bhrama, (the creator), and Shiva (the destroyer). They see the divineness of the gods in everyone. Most households worship a certain god or goddess, on a select few. Almost like how Athenians in Greece worshiped Athena more than the other gods. In Hinduism, there are also gods for certain important places. For example, the goddes of the Sarisvati river is Sarisvati. The same for the Ganga river god being called Ganga.
